Lab Member Spotlight: Tyler

How long have you been a part of the lab? I have been a part of the IART lab for almost a year.
What have you learned while working in the lab? I have learned many things, especially about the intricacies of survey analysis.
What is your favorite thing about William Paterson's PsyD program and working in the lab? My favorite part of being in this program is how I am exposed to diverse perspectives of my interests, including mindfulness. I have learned about the ways that people have conceptualized rehabilitation for depressed individuals, as well as individuals with other psychopathology that arises from various conditionings and biological determinants. Additionally, I'm learning about how mindfulness can assist patients throughout the lifespan. The lab grants me the opportunity to explore this interest of mine.
Where are you at for externship and how is it going? I am currently at Services for the Underserved as an ACT team therapist in Harlem. I have the privilege of treating individuals with an array of mood and psychotic disorders who cannot afford more extensive forms of treatment.
What is a fun fact about yourself? One fun fact about myself is that I am a musician.
